A World Expo is an event that brings together people and innovations from around the world in an effort to address issues facing humankind on a global scale. The Osaka Expo 1970, Japan’s, and Asia’s, first ever, became a symbol of Japan’s rapid economic growth and one of the country’s most lauded events. Twenty years after the Aichi Expo 2005, Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai will bring the international community back to Japan.

The Setouchi Triennale is a contemporary art festival held every three years on the islands of the Seto Inland Sea. Launched in 2010, it lasts 100 days and is divided into spring, summer and fall sessions, allowing visitors to enjoy the Setouchi region in different seasons. The Triennale is one of Japan’s foremost international art festivals, attracting about 1 million people from Japan and abroad.
The Triennale's overarching theme is the Restoration of the Sea. We aim to revitalize the islands of the Seto Inland Sea where people's lives were seamlessly interwoven with the natural environment and make this region a Sea of Hope for the world.
以濑户内群岛为舞台，每3年举办一次的现代艺术的祭典。2010年首次举办，为期约100天的展期分为春、夏、秋3个季节，可体验濑户内在各个季节的魅力。展期中吸引了来自日本国内外约100万名游客造访，是日本具有代表性的国际艺术节。
濑户内国际艺术节以「海洋复兴」作为主题，目标在重新恢复濑户内群岛上优美的大自然与人类和谐的活力，并让濑户内海成为地球上所有地区的「希望之海」。
